Both Sides of Mouth Good For Talking

Boy, this Obama guy has caught on quickly. All that rhetoric about hope and change. Well, there has been a lot of change in his first two months. Namely, him changing into a completely shameless liar. This is really out of hand.

Just a couple weeks ago, Obama, pandering to the outrage over Wall St. bonuses, said that he wanted Secretary Geithner to get creative to recover bonuses paid out by AIG:

President Obama on Monday tasked Geithner and government lawyers with figuring out a way to recover some of those bonuses and explore "every legal avenue" to stop the payouts.

Now, after Geithner has actually done that, Obama had this to say, just days later, in an interview with CBS:

President Obama on Sunday signaled his disapproval of a House-passed measure to highly tax executive bonuses, warning against governing "out of anger."

"Let's see if there are ways of doing this that are both legal, that are constitutional - that uphold our basic principles of fairness, but don't hamper us from getting the banking system back on track."

Ah, I see, Mr. President. So, when you asked Geithner to explore every legal avenue to recover bonuses, you didn't really mean it. What happened? Did you change your mind that quickly? Or, did one of your campaign contributors suggest that you soften your stance on their industry? Oh wait, I forgot. This President is going to reform campaign finance.

It's too bad. I really like a lot of the things Obama has to say. Problem is, you really can't believe any of them.
