Well, one more time, I have to reiterate why I had serious concerns about Obama in the first place, and why I felt like his nomination (in the Democratic primaries) was achieved based on false pretenses. Here's the current story from cnn.com:

Once again, Campbell Brown is busting Obama's chops for his big talk about not hiring lobbyists, and his subsequent hiring of lobbyists. This goes back to what I was saying in my original blog on the subject. Many of the people who chose Obama in the primaries did so because they believed he was something he wasn't. Hillary Clinton certainly has her flaws, but for the most part, we know what they are. That's why people generally favor experience when selecting amongst similar job candidates. You aren't left relying solely on what a candidate says they'll do.
So, in addition to misconceptions about bringing our troops home, ending partisanship, and curbing the influence of money on political campaigns, we now have this bit about the lobbyists. At least with the troops issue, Obama really did say all along that he wasn't going to end the Iraq occupation, and was honest about redeploying lots of soldiers to Afghanistan. Most liberals in the primary just wanted to believe he was flat out ending the war(s). That was, in fact, the voters misinterpretting Obama's position.
But, on this lobbyist issue, this is not a case of voter misconception. Obama cleared stated his position, and after a week, we have multiple examples of him allowing exactly what he said he wouldn't. This one is on you, Mr. President.
