Plug-In Hybrid for Sale
Well, it looks like you can now buy a Plug-In Hybrid Electric Vehicle (PHEV) brand, spanking new from the Green Car Company in Bellevue. It's not a PHEV straight out of the Toyota factory, which is unfortunate. And the Prius still suffers from the lousy parallel hybrid powertrain. But, it's a step in the right direction.
PHEVs and pure EVs are absolutely, positively the preferred long-term solution for personal transportation in this country. I'd sell my biodiesel Golf in a heartbeat for a new one from the factory.
