Show Me the Money

For anyone living in a cave, or in a cloud of conservative ideological nonsense, this should be the final nail in the coffin as to whether Barack Obama is actually a liberal. (Hint: he's not!) Obama announced a freeze on non-military/defense spending going forward. This is the latest in a long line of Obama sellouts to the conservative pimps that clearly are running his administration from behind the curtains.

Ok. We're in a bad recession. Having to make unpopular cuts is understandable. Nobody's going to like everything that gets its budget reduced. But, to continue to escalate our discretionary spending on pre-emptive Middle East wars, while cutting vital domestic programs? This man is a shameless shill for the military industrial complex (in addition to being a whore for the financial sector). After campaigning on being against the war in Iraq from the start? And after a recent, and supposedly temporary troop surge in Iraq leading up to his inauguration? Obama couldn't even find a way to make some modest cuts in our Middle East emperialist boondoggles?

Barack Obama is a complete sellout. He's a dirty, two-faced liar. Nice work, Democrats. Way to elect a candidate with nothing but empty rhetoric, and no history of making good on any of his promises.
